Arcade game inspired by James Bond movies - you drive a heavily armed car on the road full of people that want you dead.
Spy Hunter was an arcade game that, as the creators hoped, would be licensed James Bond product and not without reason - they came up with the idea for it while listening to James Bond movies soundtracks. You drive a slightly modified car on a seemingly normal road. How was your car modified? It has guns mounted in the front, it has armoured sides, it has missile launchers and few other tricks available. Why would you need them? Well, this particular road is full of people that are not very fond of you, in fact they want you dead as soon as possible. So it looks like you will have to fight your way out of this situation. You will face cars and limos that will try to push you off the road, you will face cars with steel blades built in their wheels or bulletproof ones that you will have to push off the road in order to survive. But wait, there’s more - bad guys will have a helicopter support from time to time, so you have to find the missiles to shot those helicopters down. The only way to acquire them is to drive into weapon trucks that will pop up once in a while. And no, that is not all - the highway you are traveling on leads to bridges and some of them might be actually closed with huge gap between the ends, but luckily you are prepared for such situation. Yes, your car can switch into a motor boat and you can continue travel on water - the handling is not great, but at least you’re not dead yet.
Spy Hunter was just amazing arcade game - simple and easy to get attached to. Randomly generated world that you travel through is different in every game, so it is hard to get bored. The situations you are facing are with time really challenging, especially once you reach other parts of the highway, especially the icy part of it. The creators could not the license to call it a official game attached to the film series and to be honest James Bond producers are those who lost in that moment.

Game that was planned as simple educational entertainment for the kids, but in fact turned out to be quite good fun for long hours.

Duke Nukem 3D was in many ways not very good game - it lacked story as such, the enemy AI was struggling, the levels were sometimes too repetitive, but at the same time it was one of the most enjoyable FPS games ever.

Rocky surface and dense toxic atmosphere of planet Fractalus is a worst place to be stuck, especially when your fighter has just been shot down and you don’t really have much choice.
