Licensed game linked to the 1990 movie about American (obviously) Navy Seals on a covert mission in the Middle East.
A unit of Navy Seals is sent to Oman (one of the few countries in Middle East with no history of terrorism) to intercept the American missiles stolen by the local terrorists. Yup, it makes no sense whatsoever. Anyway, after swimming to the shore, they climb up the ladder to face the... wooden platforms as far as the eye can see. Yup, it makes not sense. Anyway, the goal of the Navy Seals is to locate the stolen missiles and blow them up while navigating through the maze of platforms and avoiding the ever so vigilant guards. There could be from few to more than 10 missiles to locate on each level.
While the story was... cartoonish at best, the game itself was quite impressive for its times. The graphics and animations were smooth and looking fine, but the nice touch was the introduction of elements such as jumping up the platform and do the hanging traverse or muscle-up into that platform. It also work both ways - you could go from the walking on the platform to hanging below it to avoid contact with the guards.
The rest of the game was quite typical for the scroll shoot’em up platformer, but, despite the unforgiving difficulty, the smooth animation, nice done graphics and different options to approach the obstacles made it a game to remember.
