Globetrotter

To go around the world in 80 days was impressive, ask Michael Palin, but could you do it in 60 days while having limited budget and access to planes?
While in Jules Verne times to travel around the world in 80 days was impressive, Michael Palin proved it would not be easy even 100 years later, but with restriction he could not use planes, so how hard could it be to go around the world in 60 days while using all the modern transportation? Find out in Globetrotter.
You start in Hamburg with 10,000 DM (Deutsch Marks) in your pocket and strict list of 9 cities around the world that you have to visit. You can choose any means available, you can travel by trains, planes, ships or rented cars, you can visit the cities in any order you want. All you have to do is finish your journey in less than 60 days. Of course 10,000 DM will hardly cover all the costs, but you can earn some money in some of the cities (you can play bingo in London, bet on horses in Freemantle, visit casino in Nice or stock market in Zurich). To make thing a bit worse you have to deal with unexpected problems on the way, f.e. you could be robbed and forced to take a job for few days to make money for further travel (which will decrease your chances in finishing in 60 days), the vehicle you are travelling could be delayed, you could be injured or have toothache, which will cost you money and time. Of course with each decision you have to wage the balance between money it will cost you and time you will spend on travel, f.e. flight from Paris to New York would take only 10 hours, but can cost almost 2,000 DM, so perhaps it is better to find alternative route using ship to cross Atlantic or travel through Africa and South America.
A rather simple game, but with randomly generated targets for your journey and complicated network of connections between cities it can be fun for long hours.
