Early Brøderbund Software arcade game - while hiding in the murky waters aboard your submarine you try to sink all the enemy ships travelling in convoy, but of course you are not alone since the convoy has quite strong escort. First of all there are the ships that work as shields between you and the targets, they are able to bounce the torpedoes back without being damaged. In the water there are lots of enemy subs that will try to torpedo your boat or at least ram it. And there are enemy destroyers dropping depth charges all along, which is danger to you, but also to their own submarines - depth charges explode on contact with any object.
There is one more impediment - your sub is not only sensitive to enemy actions, but also you have limited amount of torpedoes and fuel aboard. While without torpedoes you can survive, once the fuel runs out you are dead, even worse the fuel is constantly consumed no matter if you are moving or not. Once in a while supply sub will appear at the bottom of the sea and will release specially trained dolphin with both torpedoes and fuel, but you have to be quick, because enemy will try to intercept the supplies and besides the dolphin is busy man, so he won’t stick around for long.
While being one of many arcade games that were using submarines as the basis for the gameplay Seafox contained few interesting elements that made id very challenging game.
