After nuclear war deadly bacteria are killing the survivors. The answer to solve that problem is quite obvious - road gangs. Ok, maybe not that obvious...
In 1999 outbreak of mysterious disease have wiped out most of the American cities, to make things worse sudden nuclear attack left the biggest of them in ruins and caused the bacteria to mutate. Scientists from Govemment Underground Biolab are working on stopping the disease from spreading, but since the country is in chaos and they are spread all over the United States the future is rather grim. But there is a ray of hope - street gangs! Yes, you heard me right, street gangs are the answer to that problem. Don’t worry, I don’t get it either.
Nevertheless we start as a leader of a road gang somewhere in USA (the city is chosen randomly at the beginning of the game), with only few people and one car. It is up to you to build an empire and help the scientists to stop the bacteria. I know, it doesn’t make much sense. First of all you need cars to travel, fuel and tires that will allow cars to move, people to form the gang, weapons to fight, ammo for the weapons, food and medicine for the gang members. So far it is simple, but each of the city is under control of one of the factions that you will have to face - once you beat them in road fight you can take over the city and begin to distribute resources.
The game has very specific and complex backstory, but the gameplay is a bit of a letdown. On one hand you have quite few options, on the other you have to do same things over and over again in order to build your empire. The interface in some points does not give you the data you need to make decision, f.e. you do not know how many people are approaching you when you have to decide how many of your members should meet them. Same story with strength of opposite gang during fight or how many people wants to join you in a city. Overall an average game that had good potential, but interface did not live up to that potential.
