Secret agent John Glames travels to Santa Paragua in the Caribbean in order to find the stealth fighter F-19 that was stolen from a US base.
As John Glames, a CIA secret agent, you land in a banana republic Santa Paragua in the Caribbean. Your mission is to find a F-19 stealth fighter that was stolen from a US military airbase and supposedly ended up in Santa Paragua. From the moment you land at the airport you need to be vigilant, because every false step could be your last.
Operation Stealth is a point-and-click adventure game in the style of James Bond movies, even with the aesthetics of a big-budget production. Although not based on any Ian Fleming novel, nor having anything to do (apart from the style and atmosphere) of James Bond movies, it was published in United States under the title 007: James Bond - The Stealth Affair and licensed as a Bond product. Of course, it was done with some nonsensical gaps in the story, f.e. why MI6 agent would be given orders directly from United States?
While the graphic side was not always on the top level, the unique atmosphere of being part of a secret mission and the Bond-like narration was the enough to keep you entertained. Even in the first location you need to find out what is the current situation in the country before you use a gadget that will adjust your passport so the secret police would not arrest you on the spot. This and bits of humour here and there made Operation Stealth an interesting offering, even though some of the arcade parts of the plot were unforgiving and, of course, some puzzles were quite challenging.
