As an agent of Bureau of Astral Troubleshooters (B.A.T.) you are sent with a mission to an alien planet with aesthetics and atmosphere of a cyberpunk world.
Bureau of Astral Troubleshooters (B.A.T., French: Bureau des Affaires Temporelles - Office of Temporal Affairs) is a secret organisation from Earth, which takes care of many shady businesses. As an agent of B.A.T. you are sent to Selenia, a planet in a different solar system, because Earth is desperate to find sources of minerals that are present on Selenia and other planets in the system. Of course, you will be working undercover and the places that you will visit are not exactly safe. There are different races and types of the characters that you will stumble upon while trying to progress in your mission and different kinds of dangers that you can encounter. Since the story takes place in a cyberpunk reality, you have some cybernetic enhancements in your body that allow you to modify your skills and turn the progress into development of your character.
B.A.T. was quite unique project - an RPG-like spy story, set in a cyberpunk-like reality on an alien planet. To be fair the RPG elements were only a side-dish, but unusual game interface that looked more like a comic book than a video game, random NPC encounters, stylish graphics and innovative gameplay made a game to remember. Of course, there were some weak points, like the combat system and some of the puzzles, but overall it is a game that is memorable. Another interesting factor that made B.A.T. what it was, was the lack of prolonged introduction - you are a secret agent, you have a mission to fulfill and you can only count on yourself - that is all the help you will be given at the start. The rest is up to you.
