In 1944, soon after the Allied D-Day invasion, French Resistance takes over a train in one of the stations of the central France. They plan to reach the Normandy, where British and American forces have landed, but it won’t be easy since most of their country is still occupied by the Nazi forces. Of course we, as a loyal member of the Resistance, volunteer to drive the train. First of all we have to leave the station, which means we have to use machine gun to fight the German soldiers guarding the place. Once we leave the station we have to take care of the locomotive parameters - keep the pressure, maintain the speed, lookout for German planes that can attack us from above and plan the route through the railway network. While we have the anti-aircraft gun to fight the planes we also have a wagon with great big gun on it to deal with the gunboats that guard all the major bridges. Also every station on the line is full of German guards, which means we will have to fight the way through them or use the Resistance forces to clear the way for us.

One of the early simulators that took an idea from 1964 war movie The Train with Burt Lancaster. We drive the train through the war torn France to reach Normandy, the train is represented by just few screens like in other simulators of the era (f.e. Silent Service or Ace of Aces). And just like in case of many early games the great idea for the game makes up for the lack of realistic graphics, complicated story or side missions. Still it can be entertaining.
